He was also an avid race fan, and for many years a race car owner and mechanic. Mr. Russell was a member of the Woodside Methodist Church. Services 1p.m. Saturday, May 31 at Harry Moore Family Mortuary, Lawrence Chapel with calling from 10:00a.m. to 1:00 p.m. Interment: Washington Park East Cemetery. Survivors include, wife, Carolyn Jane Russell; daughters, Susan Shoemaker, Georgia Beeman and Sarah Okey-Kolumbus; 6 grandchildrn and 8 great grandchildren.
